I had assumed an Imperial Stout had to be high in alcohol content to have true Imperial Stout flavor. This Imperial Stout proves that my assumption was incorrect! Nice job, Ceiba!

Served in a snifter, it pours a very dark brown that could pass as an inky black, if it weren't for its rim seen from above, which gradually clarifies as it moves closer to the glass.
It develops a one-finger head, light brown, with medium retention. Nice lacing.
Chocolate is the most present aroma, with hints of brown sugar, molasses, caramel, and coffee and roasted malts being as undertones.
Its flavor is very assertive, but not as complex as the nose. Chocolate, smokey, earthy. Semi dry, with only traces of sweetness in the finish. Medium to light body.
Overall, this beer is not bad, but it wouldn't be your first choice when it comes to a mexican stout.
