Mild in flavor for an IPA; however, much more flavor than most available beers on the Yucatán Peninsula. Not much head, but easy to drink. On further reflection, I realize this IPA is nearly identical to the first two "Pacific IPAs" I brewed from a kit. Definitely drinkable, but heavy on malt flavor.

Poured a quarter of the beer into a pint glass and the white head made it all the way to the top of the glass. Color was a clear dark gold. Smell was some kind of a spicy malty smell - took a couple whiffs but couldn't quite figure out more than that. Taste was was a little malty and a little bitter but I can't really remember any other major descriptors. Feel was slightly heavy for a 5.9% IPA, or "eepa" as the waiter called it.
Overall - this beer is IMO - an attempt by a Mexican brewery to brew an IPA to satisfy one of the requirements dictated by craft beer lovers...or to tick the boxes...either I'm too spoiled by standards in the U.S. or when in Mexico, I'd much rather drink Negra Modelo, Tecate, or even bloody Corona, but Ceibo really needs to work a bit to up the standards on its IPA game...either way, it's fun to try different "craft" beers in different countries as this "hobby" now makes its way around the world!
