Growlette share. This was poured into a nonic. The appearance was a dark brown close to black color with a quickly dissipating finger’s worth of white to off white foamy head. No lacing. The aroma starts roasty, big and bold, robust maltiness. Coffee grounds and beans. Some milk chocolate. The flavor wraps all of the previously mentioned aromas together nicely. Big robust blend of chocolate to coffee bean, very nice. Moves nice across my tongue. Quick finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionable smooth slick feel to it. Low carbonation. Overall, session stout? How about we just call this an English styled porter and be done with it? No need to reinvent the beer wheel with useless terms. I’d still have this again, good for what it is.
