Poured into a 16 oz Nordic pint glass not sure when it was canned. Pours a hazy dark yellow with a 2 finger sticky white head that leaves thick gobs of lace with excellent retention. 4.25
Aroma lime, biscuit, passionfruit, slightly herbal, and apricot. 3.75
Taste follows lime, passionfruit, biscuit, pine, and apricot fairly balanced with a little bitterness. 3.75
Mouthfeel is medium, a tad sticky not dry, soft carbonation, and at 8% it goes down rather easy. 4
Overall this one is not knocking my socks but still really solid. Definitely worth a go, but honestly was expecting more. 3.75

Pours a very hazy yellow with a thick, creamy head and excellent lacing. The aroma is very tropical with notes of mango, passion fruit, and some candied lime. The flavor is full of juicy hops as well as a touch of cereal grain. Pineapple, Ruby red grapefruit and lime stick out to me. The feel is fairly lush, and the finish is pretty dry. Overall, the best IPA I have had from River Roost to date. Very flavorful and aromatic, I would put this up with some of the best NEIPAs out there.

From a 32oz growler, filled today at the brewery. Served in a spiegelau-style IPA glass.
Pours a murky, translucent orange-gold with a scant finger of soapy, bubbly, ivory-coloured head. Retention is excellent and leaves sticky gobs of lacing.
A relatively faint nose of tangerine and toast.
Taste follows the nose with a muted orange juice character and a sort of doughy, sour rye, toasty thing. Earthy and moderately bitter but the palate doesn't really develop much beyond what's noted above. A very slight spicy grapefruit and sour boozy aftertaste.
Feel is smooth and mouth-coating, medium bodied with medium-low, fine, prickly carbonation.
Overall, an enjoyable DIPA. Reading back over my review, I realize I've made the beer sound sort of boring and, fact is, it's not one of his finest brews, and it wouldn't break my heart if he never made it again but, still and all, it's a good beer and I enjoyed it.
