TONS of carbonation on this batch. Just about pitch black. Nice khaki colored head, but a bit too loose with the bubbles. Rich malt predominates the aroma with a touch of coffee notes. Chocolate more on the taste. A bit too thin on the feel for me.

Poured from a growler filled at the brewery.
Pours a deep cola brown color with a finger of effervescent tan head. The head leaves a few splotches if lacing before settling into a thin halo.
The aroma brings notes of baker's chocolate, coconut, dark roast malts and brown sugar.
The flavor is very roasted, bringing notes of dark chocolate, dark roast coffee, and coconut.
The feel is medium bodied with low carbonation. Soft and exceptionally creamy. Slightly sticky on the finish. Drinks more like a 10% stout.
Overall, a pretty good stout that is incredibly straight forward and unspectacular. Still, it's flavorful and drinkable and comes exactly as advertised.

Had two pours of this, first had more heavy coconut on the nose and the second was more chocolate. Poured first with no head. Second pour had two fingers of chocolatey brown head. Very rich and sweet with coconut and chocolate dominating and leading into toasty dark malts. Smooth and slightly syrupy texture. Absolutely delicious. Get a friend to share this with or prepare to spend an evening sipping it, it's super rich.
