This is for Batch 2 - the sherry cask version.
This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and a little bit of lacing.
This smells like molasses, dark fruit, cherry, chocolate, oak, wine, and espresso.
The barrel works really well this - I get some sweet and fruity molasses, some dried dark fruit, and a touch of drying oak on the back end to keep the fruity barrel from being too sweet. There's chocolate, caramel, and some light coffee-like flavors.
This is creamy, and medium bodied - not too thick, but certainly not thin. It has a lovely velvety mouthfeel to it.
This is really nice stuff. I really need to get myself to River Roost at some point.
