This was another beer that I picked up in Vermont in September, as I never had anything from River Roost before. Can't say that I've had a beer of this style lately but seeing how enjoyable this was, it would be easy to wish that more brewers would give it a go!
No surprise that this beer was blonde, cloudy, and topped off with a massive head that took quite a while to settle down. A bit of dark sediment was interspersed in the liquid, but that probably had to do with the age of this more than anything else. Not a lot of lacing left here either as the nose was on par with it. Lots of clove, banana, and yeast in the muted aroma as the taste was quite thick. Lots of bread came in once this warmed up as it seemed like a Blonde or a Hefeweizen more than anything else.
That was fine, since it helped contribute to the easy of enjoyment that it had. There wasn't a date to be found anywhere and there was a bit of light stone fruit in the back, which led me to want another. Such a lovely brew for the summer when something light wouldn't do, as this was not like anything I've had in quite some time!

Poured from a 16 oz can into a pint glass; no birth date. Pours translucent bright yellow with two+ fingers of foamy head; slowly recedes with decent lacing. A great looking beer. Tastes of thin hops with subtle tastes of citrus, banana, and crackers. A bit thin. Good.

On Lukr/side pull tap at Blackback Pub in Waterbury, VT.
This one pours a lightly hazy golden yellow color, with a small foamy head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like grassy and lemony hops, sweet bready malt, and a sort of crackery and minerally aroma, as well.
This is hopped with Motueka, so I figured this would be pretty hoppy, but it was subtly done here, adding some nice melony and citrusy hop character. It’s still mostly crackery and spicy, like a good draft lager would be.
This is light bodied, slightly creamy, and super drinkable.
River Roost is most certainly more known for their delicious IPAs, but this definitely shows that they have some real range in their brewing capacities.
