Poured on draft at the brewery.
Pours a dark cola brown color with a finger of creamy off-white head. The head leaves a few splotches of lacing as it settles into a thin ring.
The aroma brings notes of grainy malts and caramel with a hint of brown sugar and hops.
The flavor brings notes of brown sugar, toasted grains, caramel, and a plethora of hops. Way too hoppy for the style.
The feel is medium-light bodied with moderate carbonation. Smooth and easy drinking. Relatively dry on the finish.
Overall, an OK brown ale that is far too hop forward but still drinkable. A few tweaks and this is a good beer.
