Pours cloudy yellow with an inch of white fluff. Moderate retention and lacing. Unripe peach, pineapple, and white grape in the nose. Medium bodied with a soft mouthfeel. Juicy tropicals on the palate with minimal malt or bitterness. Peach, grapefruit, and pineapple. Finishes juicy and a bit dank.

Clean to clean. Super nuanced and overall surprisingly high ABV compared to how it tasted.

From the 16 oz. can dated 09-06-18. Sampled on September 28, 2018. Not sure if this is the right batch to review this in but the can looks right.
This pours a light amber color with some cloudiness and a large, milk shake-like foamy white head that fades some and leaves lacing.
The aroma emits some nice characters of citrus, tropical fruit, floral hops and a more muted toasted white bread malt note.
Medium or better body.
A short-lasting sweet malt flavor that erupts into a biting floral, fruity, and spicy dry character to end it. Not so much spice on the nose as there is in the taste. Lingers. Very nice.

From a 16oz can, dated 03/14/18 - I have no idea what version 'V' was, but this is the amarillo-citra-simcoe iteration. Served in an IPA glass.
Pours a moderately hazy, dull amber-gold with two-plus fingers of snowy-white bubbly whipped froth. Retention is very good, settling back to a long-lived, thick, rocky cap with a good webbery of lacing.
A relatively modest aroma of soda biscuit and undifferentiated citrus.
Taste more or less follows the nose, only better, with orange rind, grapefruit, pine and just a hint of spice and crackery malt. Earthy and dry with excellent bitterness and a clean finish.
Feel is clean, dry and quenching, medium bodied and well carbonated.
Overall, a very nice IPA with excellent bitterness and a bit of an old-school (in a totally good way) taste profile.

Pours a cloudy dark gold color with a 1 to 2 finger off-white head.
Aroma is a bit more malty than the citrus hops that are also imparted. It comes across as sharply pungent once it warms up a bit but is weak-scented when cold.
Taste starts with a semi-sweet pale malt up front that quickly gets overtaken by the hops which include a bright and sweet citrus flavor blend of lemon zest and grapefruit, yet mixed with musty, earthy notes that stay in the background enough to balance fairly well.
Feel is very soft and light bodied like a pale ale, which is odd given the relatively high ABV. Bitterness is low and overall malt is low leading to a light and refreshing beer.
I really enjoyed this one. I had been missing this one at ML in the past and by chance picked up the last 4 pack at my local market. I was expecting a soft hoppy beer and was not disappointed. The earthy notes set it apart from most of their other ales.
