Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass. Canned Dec 3rd 2021, Batch 16.

Deep dark lemon and opaque body appearance, with a slight notice of carbonation and light hues towards the bottom. Creamy forming rich white and bright head, giving a solid four controlled fingers with thick retention. Huge staying power with a good island top and thick rings of lace. Big aggressive looking IPA.

Real nice and unique aroma. Thick sense of herbs at first that come of sweet sage and almost minty on the nose. Fruity and musty wine like grape, more like dregs with excellent earthy pungency. There's also a real sharp woody smoke on the end of this, nearly char like which is out of nowhere. Excellent stuff.

Palate takes an unexpected, but still delicious direction. Nearly silky mouthfeel, but flirts with chalky dryness. Still a big rich mouthfeel manages a good hop bonanza. More of a light citrus orange at first, then gets into big earthy flavors of rich soil and chewy sensing tropical fruit. Good amounts of spicy and lime like bitterness on the finish mixing in, with even an almost vanilla sweetness to contrast nicely.

Very nice IPA.

Can. Been drinking a bunch of Mast Landing brews recently. Let's see how this fares. Pours an 8.0 on the Haze-o-meterā„¢. Thin ring of white head leaves jagged, sharp lace. The nose is decently aromatic. I can smell it from a distance. Smells a lot like the brand of hazy beers Mast Landing creates. I am getting accustomed to what they usually smell like and this is right in there. Citrus, dried and wet. Maybe some pineapple. Peach and a bit of grassiness to round out the hop character. Also has a creamy element to the nose. Almost like a slight whiff of vanilla creamer for your coffee. Creamsicle, too (get this a lot in their beers). Flavor is a bit more assertive in the hops than the nose. The greener hop elements are more pronounced. I almost get a tea-like hop quality as well. Floral hoppiness that I didn't pick up so much in the nose. Malt comes off as straightforward sweetness. This isn't too creamy; not OrangeMilkā„¢. Alcohol hidden well. Soft carbonation. Lower bitterness. So pretty drinkable. I can see why this is one of their least highly rated beers. It's solid. Most from this brewery are. The hop profile is a bit wonky on this one. Not worth the cost for the 4-pack but not a terrible beer.

Cucumber like astringency up front with a hint of hop bitters. Very frothy and malty laced with lemony finish. Unique for an IPA...enjoyed the differences.

A- Can pours into an 8oz tasting glass with a moderately hazy deep gold to light orange body. The head is thick and creamy reaching about a finger high with good retention. Lacing beings right away with large sheets followed by thick webs drizzled beneath that.

S- Juicy fruits from the hops dominate the aroma with both stone fruits and tropical fruits coming to mind supported by some citrus, dankness and floral notes as well. Mango, melon, berries, slight onion, weed, tangerine and peach come to mind. Hints at a medium sweetness.

T- The flavor finds the herbal, berry and citrus hops coming on a bit stronger but still showcasing some of the tropical and stone fruit nectar. Dank with a moderate overall bitterness. Mango, scallion, oats, berries, oranges, grapefruit, melon, wine grapes and floral notes.

MF-Medium bodied and very smooth with a creamy and silky texture. Carbonation is at a medium level and it ends with a zesty, clean bitterness; no burn here.

Juicy aroma leads to a mix of fruity, floral, dank and herbal hops on the palate as well as notes of berries. Brewed clean without any hop astringency/burn and that is step 1 of the new IPA world.

Bottom of the can stamped 01/24/20.
This was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a fairly sturdy burnt yellow color, some murkiness. A two finger white foamy head sat on top and sliding off fairly slow. Lace seemed to spread out fairly slow.
The aroma blended very nicely between citrusy hop zesty to sweet and slightly bitter components to a slight biscuity maltiness. Some pine needles rest on the backbone.
The flavor yields to the same aromatic tones meshing the sweet to the zest and putting in a subtle bitterness that seems to get stronger as it warms. Subtle aftertaste of backing malts and piney hop resin.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Plenty of dryness becomes invasive but not burdensome. Some smoothness. Finishes with subtle sticky piney tones with a touch of grassy hoppiness.
Overall, pretty nice AIPA almost wanting to be a New England styled one but really isn't. I'd have again.

A West Coast style IPA. The bitterness is nice, but not very hazy or juicy. Tasty for sure, but old school to my palate.

Picked-up a four-pack of cans at Kappy's in Norwell for about fourteen dollars. Have had a couple of brews from these guys before, & this came highly recommended. This was a hot-mess, not sue what the deal was, as the canned-on date was within the last month.
