Pours a hazy yellow with some grassy and tropical aroma. Overall, it's got some nice pineapple and mango along with some grassiness. Pretty flavorful for a lower ABV beverage.

Pours a light yellow, ample foamy white head. Aroma is piney and citrusy. Flavor is light, I get lemon pith, light bitterness, slight pine. Good carbonation. Overall a pretty tasty DDH pale ale.

This beer was the result of a trip up to my early stomping grounds in New London, CANnecticut for a mini-reunion. I was never enamored of the ship or the locale, but it was where I started out & I didn't mind hanging out for a bit. I used the CANportunity to do some beer shopping & came home with a decent score for The CANQuest (tm)!
From the CAN: "Drink Fresh Within 90 Days".
I was CANxious to Crack! open the vent since I was a wee tad past their suggested freshness date. It came off without a hitch so I CANtinued with a slow, gentle C-Line Glug into the awaiting glass. This resulted in the formation of just over two fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, tawny head with very good retention, leaving nice lacing in its wake. Color was an oh-so-slightly-hazy Golden-Amber (SRM = > 5, < 7). Chill haze from my chilly reefer? Purrhaps, said the cat. Nose had the unmistakable cattiness of Simcoe & I swear that I knew nothing of it when I made that pun! It turns out that it was paired with Citra & Mosaic & the latter is its usual dance partner. Simcoe the naughty kitty + southern hemisphere Mosaic = yum! Mouthfeel was medium-to-full, not quite creamy, but certainly big for an APA> The taste had the usual tropical fruitiness of Mosaic, held in check by the usual cattiness of Simcoe, but here the grapefruit citrusiness of Citra lent an unusual tang to the proceedings. Mmm. Fabby! I applaud the person who built this entry as it is apparently meant to be distinguishable from their regular Tell Tale. Well, if so, then they did a superb job of hopping this one. I have had like iterations, not of this beer, but the style, in which they went overboard & saturated the beer with the hops to the point of graininess. 8=p This was Baby Bear's version - just right! Hoppy, but so hoppy as to be mistaken for an AIPA. Subdued, but not to the point of tastelessness. Finish was semi-dry with a lingering lemony cattiness as Citra & Simcoe refused to go quietly. Mmm. YMMV.

Bottom of the can stamped "01/03/20 Batch 79."
This was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance had a wonderful chill haze burnt woody orange color to it. Rocky foamy white head took it's time to dissipate and once it did a fine foamy messy lace glossed the sides of my glass.
The aroma had shaved orange peel up front rolling into some piney hop spice, subtle bitter dry citrus pith. Slight notes of tangerine and guava.
The flavor took all of those prior mentioned aromas to blend together in a well balanced semi-spicy to sweet and subtle bitter quality. Aftertaste seemed somewhat reminiscent of orange juice with some piney bitterness mixing in finely.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Dry enough rolling along my tongue. Nice carbonation, somewhat low but not too much. Good finish of a piney dry hoppy clench and some citrus pith.
Overall, pretty nice dry hopped APA, I'd have again.

Hazy, peach orange appearance, minimal head.
Smell of tangerine and guava, but not very pronounced.
Tangerine citrus taste, maybe some hop pine at the end, but not much else for me.
Medium, borderline thin, bodied, moderate effervescence.
Enjoyable and flavorful for what this is, a lower ABV pale ale.

L: Poured from a tallboy can to a pint glass. Had a yellowish color and a cloudy consistency. There was a half inch of foamy, somewhat long-lasting head. Above average lacing.
S: A decent, but not brilliant, aroma of hops, citrus fruit, malt, and pine.
T: Tasted of a good shot of citrus fruit (lemon and orange, specifically), a tinge of pine (lingers around the edges), a fair amount of hops (relatively low), and some malt (mostly in the finish). Like the aroma, this is a solid, but not overly spectacular flavor. It was definitely well-balanced and sharp, but not dominating. Still, not a bad flavor.
F: A decent amount of carbonation with a dry, smooth finish. Light-bodied.
O: In general, this is a solidly made, worthwhile APA. Worth a look.

Can from Sprayberry April 2019
Fantastic new school pale ale; very similar to MIA’s MegaMix, one of the tops in this category. Lots of fresh dank hop, slightly oily/resinous, super crisp dry finish. Seek and consume!
