From a 16oz can, dated 09/06/18. Served in a willi becher.

Pours a heavily hazed, dull orange-gold with three fingers of super-soft and sudsy, lathery foam. Retention is excellent, ultimately settling back into a fat, lumpy golfball of a cap with a thick spiderweb of sticky lacing.

A fairly faint but appealing nose of sweet toasty malt, tropical fruit basket, peach, funky sweat and marijuana.

Taste is totally in line with the aroma, orange, peach, lime, passionfruit and bhang water. Earthy, grainy and dank, finishing with hot and spicy, white grapefruit juice bitterness.

Feel is round and doughy, medium bodied with bright, prickly carbonation.

Overall, another terrific iteration of Green to Green. The combination of citra, simcoe and ella comes off a lot like having just hopped with galaxy - which is totally not a bad thing - only with significantly more bitterness. Mast Landing's signature style seems to be the NEIPA with all the bitterness you'd expect of an AIPA and this one's right over the plate in that regard. Nice job.

Bottom of can: 9/6/18. Citra>Simcoe>Ella

Opened on 9/25/18

Ooh baby! Yet another hazy NE ipa.orange/copper/golden mix of color. And of course opaque. Sea foam white clumpy and dense head, pretty much stays in tact for total coverage throughout. Plenty of lacing.

The nose is packed with sweet fruity style hop aromatics. Peppery citrus is the most pungent. Sweet tropicals meshed with dry, grainy earth tones all around. A slightly lemmon zest style kick with a bit of heat toward the end in a subtle way.

A zippy, peppery mouthfeel gives it a fresh bite with the first sip. Dried herbs and earthy grains really pop out. I love a bold, peppery and earthy kick to the hops! This one has it in a major way. Mouthfeel finishes very lush and smooth ! Wow, excellent overall feel. Spicy pine, citric and big green, leafy hop edge brings all back home. Excellent complexity within the hop flavor spectrum. The malt runs light to medium in body and grainy, light and very crispy in taste. Excellent balance, as the malt really supports the big three hops, allowing major impact from the hops.

Overall, this one is a true pleasure to drink. High quality through and through. We have another major player in New England with Mast Landing Brewing !
