An outstanding hazy NEIPA. Delivers across the board.

Appearance is classic hazy NEIPA, yellow, opaque. Smell is moderately strong, promising citrus and lemon. Feel is satisfying, full body.

Taste delivers on the smell. Strong but not overwhelming lemon and citrus.

Overall a home run from Mast Landing.

Golden shades of mangrove-bordered beach sand, delicately galvanized with an agitated and salty foam. Eyes ashut, the humid heat of June breeds sensations of a Tropic elsewhere, but coarse, sedimentary granite that lines the shore reminds you that, in fact, you are in the Northeast. Such is the scene of the beaches of Portland, Maine, and this New England IPA elucidates these faculties alike. I was lucky enough to receive this guy as a birthday gift, and I’ll for sure be a repeat customer, for the creamy mango richness alone is enough to have me asking for more. As a lifelong sailor, I could think of nothing more satisfying than cracking one of these aboard an oceanborne vessel. Well done!

A: The beer is rather hazy and somewhat pale yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that left lots of lacing on the surface and the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of grapefruit and pineapple are present in the nose.
T: The taste starts off with flavors of grapefruit and finishes with notes of mangos and pineapples that linger into the finish. No bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a bit juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The taste of this beer is bursting with lots of citrusy and tropical fruit flavors.

Draft at the brewery
Big creamy rich dense head, good retention and lacing, hazy cloudy orange yellow color

Nose is light, little grainy malt, light citrus rind, light but decent

Taste light malt, little citrus, touch of tropical, melon and stone fruit but light, medium bitterness, little lemony and citrus zest

Mouth is lighter bod, good medium carb, but little watery

Overall meh, too light overall but good hop characters

Enjoyed on tap at the brewery today.

A - Poured a nice hazy straw hue with a thin white head that fades to leave light wisps.

S - Aromas of light tropical fruits and citrus orange. Bright almost fruity pebbles.

T - Taste is similar to the nose with light cracker and dough, faint citrus tropical notes, finish is not overly bitter, nice and juicy.

M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, little crisp, the finish is nice and clean.

O - Overall this was a solid enough pale ale. Good cracker notes. Really really subtle and light overall.

Pours a very hazed & effervescent straw color with a thumb of fluffy pear colored head. Very good lacing & average head retention

S: Citrus & tropical fruits

T: Mangoes, kiwi fruit, along with dryness & orange up front. Pomelo & dryness as this warms, some sweet orange as well, Finishes dry with some orange sweet tart & a little green melon

MF: Medium body, subdued carbonation, good balance, body thinned out a bit as this warmed

Started out of the gate strong, but kind of petered out as it warmed, drinks easy enough

Oh, New England... What a funky style IPA you have!

Golden mud, white haze straw color. Opaque. Milk shake. White foam head, dissipates to thin coverage. Solid ring. Bits of lacing hang on like seafoam to a rocky shore.

Super pungent and dense hop aromatics! Citrus tropical, sweet pineapple, grapefruit and Mandarin oranges. Creamy and golden grains style malt aroma is just wicked.

The New England style mouthfeel is pretty complex... Lush and smooth, thick and full, but in some ways crisp and dry! Like I said....

Funny how the aromatics are dominated by sweet hops and creamy rich malt, but the flavor is mostly earthy textured grainy tones, stone fruit, complex but with no sweetness. Star fruit, cucumber and grapefruit comes close to the hop flavors. The malt... And or malted grains/adjuncts is what impresses me most. Earthy, grainy, wheat and field grasses do more than balance out the hops. I'm sure a hop in the mix also delivers some crazy dense earthy flavors as well.

Coast on home!
