Pours bright gold color with a 2 finger off white head that leaves spotty lacing.
Aroma is sweet and tropical with a little tang, like papaya and pineapple.
Taste has more of the papaya up front with a slightly astringent kick to it that masks the sweeter tropical aspects. Around mid-taste the sweeter side creeps in rounding it off nicely. finish is slightly bitter. It has a clean, unoffensive taste. Malt is light.
Feel is soft and lightly bitter, leaving a tangy sweetness in the mouth in the finish. It comes across on the light side, not heavy like some NEAPAs.
This is a pretty good pale ale that has a clean flavor that delivers. I'm not a fan of overly sweet ales and this one is just shy of that cusp so I'm okay with it.
