This was another beer that I ordered on Tavour not too long ago, as I couldn't resist something from both of these brewers. While this wasn't a bad beer, I felt that it's rating on here was just a bit lofty as it could have been a bit more notable and memorable in the end.
No doubt that the pour was this beer's best attribute as the hazy goldenrod liquid was topped of by a ton of soft, foamy head that slowly and evenly settled and never quite went away. Nicely-defined rings of lacing stayed behind the thick, rocky suds were uneven and bled down to the ones below a bit. Deep tropical fruit, turbid hops, and some jack fruit were in the nose as the taste was quite strong, boozy, and sticky. Lots of fruit pulp, minus the overt thickness, as this was a lip-smacker in feeling, but not in taste. Something was missing here as the flavors were sufficient, but not enduring in the least.
The heft was as this felt every bit as strong as it's listed ABV%. Sure, this was smooth, drinkable, and had the hops in proportion but the aftertaste was quite blank Canned on 9/20 with "BATCH 2" written above it and "09:17" written below it, this held up well but was too generic for everything that went into this. Many better examples can be found in this neck of the woods but if you're new to the style, this wouldn't be a bad introduction. Enjoy it once as a nightcap...

It looks fantastic. Thick foamy head , two fingers on pour then settled to a lingering quarter inch with lace. Disappointing aroma. Initially had hints of mango then nothing. Expected more from flavor too not what I thought for triple dry hopped New England ipa. Oh well it goes down easy and has a pleasant taste. Not very hoppy or tropical though.
