16 oz. can dated 01/08/20...fairly fresh.
Looks like a typical NEIPA from the New England area. Pretty much orange juice. Creamy lasting head that leaves pretty solid lacing with small bubbles here and there. Standard-bearing for the style.
The nose has lots of tropical fruit. I detect mango and guava, bit of pineapple. Smells like something that Vitamin Sea would be involved with. Again, on point for a NEDIPA.
The tase follows the nose for the most-part. The flavor leans more towards the guava, candied tropical fruits. It also has that biscuity cracker flavor going on in the back end, which I really like in an IPA. This is a bit boozy and too sweet for my tastes. If you told me it was a TIPA, I would believe it.
Nicely carbonated, creamy/pillow mouthfeel. Full-bodied, a bit syrupy. I find this to be fairly filling and probably wouldn't drink more than one in a sitting. Sticky and bitter on the finish.
Overall, this is a good beer and is pretty true to style. It checks all the marks of a NEDIPA and if you're a fan of the style, you will probably enjoy this. For me personally, I've grown a bit tired of these and there's nothing new here or overly impressive to grab my attention and make me say "Have Mercy!!!!". A solid beer, but one and done for me.
