Pint can 2/5/20
Opened and reviewed on: 3/16/20
A hazy honey gold color, white foam cap dissipates quick with scattered thin cover and a bunch of lace surrounding.
The hoppy based aromatics are as such: Clementine, peach puree, pineapple chunks and various tropically scented fruits. Malt smells honey sweet, creamy and slightly grainy. The citrus aroma is very strong.
A really fine first hit brings a well balanced fruity and earthy flavor. A snappy golden grains malt bite transitions nicely to citrus, dry grasses and subtle tropical fruit flavors that seem to all be perfectly exposed within the flavor profile. A creamy malt scent remains sweet with a huge citrus zest blast lingers and is deeply complex within these two hops.
I've always felt 7% abv is the perfect baseline for an American IPA. Balance is excellent and the two hops compliment each other perfectly.
