Look: wow, a clearer... I. e not hazy golden color. White foam cap is light with nice lace.
Nose: Sweet n' fruity, floral and piney hop aromatics are bursting. Sweet buttery scented malt takes me back to the good 'ol days of West Coast style IPA and hefty hopped APA!
Feel & Flavor: A rather, light and juicy Mouthfeel, not exactly the traditionally dry, bitter, earthy pucker of most of the West Coastal IPA's I remember. Don't get me wrong, the feel is very nice, but not what I was expecting. Crisp and juicy, super easy to drink.
The brightest hop flavor I can imagine here. Juicy fruits, pretty sweet tropical juicy with underlying floral type notes. It's totally delicious but once again, expecting a dry-leafy, bitterness in the hop combo which is how I think of "West Coast" style with a bigger, amber, hefty malty backbone.
Overall: So, not what I would expect in a West Coast style IPA in most ways, but I really, really love this beer for what it is. The bright, juicy hops and easy golden malt is wildly drinkable and delicious. Kinda enjoying the lack of thickness and deep haze as well.
