Poured stout black with a light brown head.
Aroma was malty and a bit of chocolate and coffee, fairly standard for a stout.
The flavor is all I want in a stout and pretty much nothing I don’t want. Roasted malts without any bitterness, cocoa and smooth coffee, a tiny hint of dark fruit. Astoundingly well balanced.
The feel is ideal.
Over all, I think I will have to get this whenever I can get it.

There's nothing not to like about this very solid, enjoyable stout. I really like the mouthfeel in that it is really oily and thick. The beer pours thick, no lacing, not much head retention. The oil in the mouth goes along nicely with its full bodied character The taste is a nice balance between dark, slightly burnt malts and some unsweetened chocolate. I like that it doesn't have the mocha coffee flavor as that has become too popular and ever present in the latest stouts. I keep coming back to that silky mouthfeel on this one. Really good. The ABV is well hidden, no booziness at all. You can't miss with this beer, well worth another visit.

Canned 2021/01/06
Pours a large foamy frothy almost 2 finger tan head with good retention, a bit of spotty lacing, very dark just about black color
Nose brings chocolate up front, powdered cocoa and some lactose I think, dense chocolate, some roasted malt and bitter roasted coffee, a faint smokey note, a bit of spicy hop
Taste starts with qite a bit of chocolate, layers of hot cocoa, choc ganache, dark chocolate, a bit of choc fudge brownie, a hint of lactose and chocolate milk, then some bitter coffee grounds and roasted flavors, a bit of bitterness with mild spicy hop notes and bitterness from roast, a hint of alcohol late as well, drier mild sticky finish, a little spicy as well
Mouth is med to fuller bod, a bit creamy, med to a little lighter foamy carb, touch of alcohol warmth
Overall not bad, basic American stout with loads of chocolate, some roast, not overly anything
