Pours a frothy foamy 1 finger head with fair retention, a bit of lacing, semi clear slight hazy straw to honey gold color

Nose some doughy malt, cereal, bready, not too rich or grainy though, a little straw, touch of fruity notes, very light herbal hops

Taste more malt, a bit of grain, more soft bread, honey, fair sweetness, a little blond twinkee like cake, golden malts, some fruity notes again a bit of a white wine, light floral herbal hops with low bitterness, semi dry finish

Mouth is med bod, doesn't really feel lagered, med carb

Overall meh, this seemed more like a golden ale with some fruity hops, fruity esters don't really belong in Festbier, doesn't feel lagered, malts were too much on the sweet cakey like side, barely any hops at all, and the malts didn't even fit the profile really

Fortunately I waited until I'd had 3 of these to review as there was some slight perceived funkiness to the first two. This one's tasting like a proper Festbier lager tonight, and so I'll give the benefit of the doubt over my previously tainted taste buds. Enjoying it right now.

Had my roommate randomly select a beer for me to drink blindfolded so that I could review with my opinions as unbiased as possible. Roommate poured and took a picture that I judged after finishing and learning what it was. The only direction I gave was "I don't feel like a sour or an IPA tonight." So I knew it wouldn't be either of those styles.

16 oz can acclimated to 46°F and poured into a stein. (So unfortunately I know what it potentially could be)

Pours somewhat hazy, very much like the color of the flesh of a cheap grocery store orange, lighter than we always think oranges are. Produces a tall and foamy white head.

Initial aroma is just what I'd expect from something that goes in a stein. Crisp, very crackery yeasty, white/olive green floral, peppery. I thought I smelled waffle cone (without vanilla, just the texture) and some sort of Italian salami/capicola for a second. A bit of an ocean breeze type scent. After agitating I pick up a smell a lot like yogurt soda drink like ayran, and a hint of fresh strawberry.

Initial taste before swallowing is sweet, a very nice sweetness, not too much but enough to make me say "oh that's very sweet." Some bitterness also develops. After swallowing it's 100% the famed liquid bread we often speak of. A superb moderate to high malty robustness doesn't overpower, but makes itself abundantly clear. Sweetness from before is present as well, reminding me a little of a Portuguese sweet roll. There's a dry bitterness in the aftertaste, lingering in the back of the mouth, it starts slightly hoppy and a little soapy, becoming vaguely astringent, then fading, the whole staying mellow to moderate and very pleasant. There are some fruity notes to be found, I get some strawberry and pear.

Mouthfeel is maybe slightly choppy, but not enough to detract significantly.

Overall this is immediately easy to either drink or crush, making for a sublime relaxation or session beer. The flavor is somewhat simple but still nuanced, and is executed very very nicely. Just a very well rounded beer that tastes like a beer, and has taste. I had a good time drinking this.

I rarely buy beer outside of singles but I would absolutely consider buying this again in a multi pack.

Feierabend Batch 3 canned on 8/31/22 opened and reviewed on 9/29/22

A light and crisp golden German lager with a slick, toasty malt complexity. Spicy with crunchy, buttery toastie style malt and an earthy finish.

Picked up a 4 pack at the new brewery facility in Freeport during the Barreled Souls Member's Event. Sampling this 16 oz can poured into my .5L dimple mug at cellar temp.
the beer pours a clear amber to copper color with a fizzy bleached white dense head of 3 cm foaming up and fading to a sturdy surface layer. The foam sticks around throughout entire sampling and leaves some scattered windowpane lattice.
Aroma is bready and biscuity malts with hints of herbal hops. Nice and clean aroma.
First sip reveals a light to medium body with smooth crisp feeling texture. Carbonation is fine and gentle and the beer drinks very easy for the physical traits.
Flavor is what I would expect for the style with similar notes as the aroma. Light biscuit notes with some bread and a bit of cracker up front, then this rolls to a little grassy hops that linger with a mild bite on the finish. Very dry finish as well.
No hint of ABV anywhere and this beer drinks really easy. Very solid example in these cans, glad I had a chance to sample.
