Taken from the brewing traditions of England, this dark mild is a comfortable and familiar beer. Whether the weather is beautiful or not, your glass will hold a delicious and refreshing treat. Weatherproof is a beer informed by years and years of history - fads and trends haven't blown the style off course, and for good reason.

Just picked up a four pack on my way home from Maine wish I purchased more. At only 4% I can't believe the flavor they packed into this. Malt forward and very smooth

Canned 2022/12/16 (although picked up at the brewery a few weeks ago)
Pours a foamy bubbly 1 finger head with moderate retention, a little lacing, hazy darker copper to chestnut color
Nose brings some darker toasted grains, bread crust and toast, a touch nutty toffee sweetness, faint baking spices
Taste brings more flavor than expected, big malt character, toasted slight roasted, biscuity toasted bread and sweet bread crust, a bit of coffee and chocolate wafer cookie, light herbal hop with a touch of bitterness, hint of baking spices, a little sweet molasses and a bit nutty, dry finish, a bit more bitterness, more toasted biscuity malt on the back end
Mouth is med to lighter bod, med carb
Overall pretty good, nose was a bit light but taste had plenty of good stuff

From a 16 oz. can with a smudged date of ??/16/22 - Batch 2. Sampled March 23, 2023.
The appearance is a handsome looking mahogany with a modest tan head that fades down.
Notable bold aroma of caramel malts, toffee malts, burnt ash, and light earth and floral hop notes.
Light mouthfeel.
The taste is sweet and malt forward with a traditional floral bitterness at the end. A decently done mild.

Pours a mostly clear dark ruby amber, cola like 1.5" head, light lacing. Nose is burnt toffee, used coffee ground, earth, noble hops, and pennies. Taste has moderate bitterness up front balanced by light malt sweetness. There's a long, lingering dry metallic finish that tastes like, well, pennies. Mouthfeel is smooth and relatively creamy without getting heavy. Could see this as off-putting to some, but I found enjoyable.

A: The beer is clear but very dark red in color (brownish black when viewed from afar) and has a light to moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high off white head that left a thin collar around the edge and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of dark and nutty malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell but the flavors are a bit stronger.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is perfectly sessionable and has a good amount of flavors.
