Found the pieces with our friends from Foam. We've been building our partnership over the past year, and are very excited to present our first Westbrook-brewed collaboration. This IPA is a true collaboration - we sourced red wheat from our folks at Maine Malt House, while Foam brought in flaked wheat from Nitty Gritty Grain to create a memory foam level of pillowy body. On the hop side we employ Zappa, a truly unique Neomexicanus hop that is indigenous to the Southwest United States, along with Amarillo and Strata.

Mast Landing Brewing Co. IPA - New England / Hazy
Heavy vibe from the Red and Flaked wheat malt from the respective collaborators. The indigenous American hops bring another level, and it's rustic. Earthy grains with tangy, almost sour flavors prevail from that. Black tea, dry earth, and tangy pine.

16 ounce can packaged on 04/06/23.
Moderate pour yields a 5/4 inch pillowy white head over a cloudy golden body with very sticky lacing. Head recedes slowly, but comes back very nicely with a couple swirls.
Nose of citrus pith foremost with very slight tropical fruit.
Taste is citrus, a bit of tropical fruit and a bit of candied citrus. Strawberry and passion fruit flavors are lurking in the middle, and then this collab finishes with a medium citrus pith bitterness and also a little dank berry/pine bitterness as well.
Feel is way above average for the style and stays true to the producer's description.
Overall, I really like this beer, but with Maine Red Wheat and Vermont Flaked Wheat used for this, I'm kinda dreading how my old arthritic joints will feel tomorrow. Anyway, go search this one out, you won't be disappointed if you find it!
Cheers!!
