For our third and final Wavy Days collaboration beer we hit the brew deck with the fine folks from Other Half! Being from coastal Maine, it’s hard not to love everything about the ocean, especially Boat Stuff! This 5.4% New England pale ale was brewed with Moutere, Meridian, and Centennial hops provided by Crosby Hops; creating waves of citrus, berry, and sweet tropical fruit. We’re excited to share the beautiful state of Maine with our friends from NYC and get them on the water to enjoy some Boat Stuff!

Shockingly well put together, smooth with no bitter aftertaste, one of the best New England ipas I've ever had

A: Poured from the can into a Tree House tulip. Body is hazy yellow/light golden with a nice bright white head.
S: Very faint in the nose. I get a hint of cat pee and straw.
T: First impression was "whoa." A reaction to the highly fizzy feel of this one. Taste wise, I get white grape skins, peach pit, and quartz. Trust me on that.
M: On first impression I would've given it a lower score here. But after a few sips, I got used to it and now think that the fizziness of the feel goes well with the lightness of the taste (and nose).
O: In theory I don't like this beer. But I think I'm going to enjoy it anyway. I credit the Changes in Attitudes.
RIP Jimmy Buffett.

a: bright, matte creamy burnt yellow color with a hint of gold. 1.5 finger frothy off white head
s: some crackers and sharp pineapple. mango and raspberry sorbet follow. faint orange juice and a creamy strawberry note. some peach cobbler in here as well
t: orange and peach juice with some crackers. a touch of tea leaf and some grapefruit as well, but not very bitter. kiwi and pineapple, with some more crackery to finish
m: medium-light mouthfeel with moderate carbonation
o: BA has this billed as a NEIPA. The can calls itself a New England Pale Ale. I'm treating this as a hazy pale ale, and it's quite nice for that. lighter on taste, but not too watery. easy to drink and right in that abv sweetspot for the style

From a 16oz can, dated 08/02/23. Served in a willi becher pub glass.
Pours a hazy grapefruit juice-colour with two-plus fingers of snowy white, merengue-like head. Retention is epic, leaving a puffball cap and wads of foamy lacing.
Nose is crackery-clean and fruity. Aroma of flowery vanilla and peachy stonefruit.
Taste is less sweet than the nose, baking soda-dry and crackery. Tasting soda crackers, peach, apricot and lemon rinds. Sweeter citrus further in, mandarin slices and a vaguely lemon-lime and aspirin finish.
Feel is somehow simultaneously creamy and powdery - is that reasonable? - medium bodied but feeling lighter owing to fizzy, seltzer-like carbonation. Almost feels like nitro - I know it’s not, but just saying.
Overall, an enjoyable pale ale. It didn’t rock my world but, on the other hand, there were no flaws, no off-notes. It’s a beautiful presentation in the glass, the peachy character was nice, and the mouthfeel, sort of reminiscent of a cream ale maybe, definitely brings it up above average.
Note that Mast Landing labels this a ‘New England Pale Ale’ - not an IPA. It should probably be classified as an APA but I suppose it could maybe be debatable?
