Our second Wavy Days 2023 collaboration beer is nothing less than pure gold! We invited our friends from Tilted Barn Brewery up to Maine a few months ago to brew a New Zealand Style Pilsner that’s bright, crisp, and clean; utilizing New Zealand’s Pacific Jade hops.
If you’re looking for a beer that will have you coming back sip after sip, we think this one’s pretty much amazing.

Drop dead gorgeous pour. Initially crystal clear pale straw color with a huge pile of white foam aided by a mildly aggressive pour. Great head retention and ridiculous adherence to the glass. Does have a very slight haze after the fact.
The smell is slightly sweet malts, mild lemon, earthy and a bit of peppery spice. Maybe fallen off a bit, but pretty typical for the style.
The taste follows along with being on point for the style. Slightly sweet. Clean malts that are very slightly bready. Earthy hops and a pretty hefty grounding bitterness that brings a little edge. Lemon pepper on the finish and on the aromatics after the swallow.
The feel is medium and maybe a little short on crispness.
Easy drinking and accurate to style. I'm not entirely sure what each brewery brought to the party. Pretty sure each could have brewed this on their own - no collab magic, in my opinion.
