Canned 2024/09/10 (batch 1)
Pours a med foamy fizzy semi thick but airy tan colored 1 finger head with moderate retention, touch of lacing, dark slightly clear deep copper to mahogany color
Nose semi sweet malts, biscuity and toasty, rich bread crust, caramel and sweet syrupy notes, nutty toffee sugar, a mild plum fig like malt-derived fruity esters, touch of vanilla spice, faint chocolate pastry
Taste starts with some chocolate notes, a bit more of the chocolate pastry but not overly sweet, biscuity brown toasted malts, a bit more vanilla spice and icing like, sweet bread crust, a touch of the red fruit esters, lighter herbal hops with a touch of bitterness, drier finish, a touch more spicy hop bitterness but still very light on overall bitterness
Mouth is med bod, med mild prickly carb
Overall pretty good in general, a bit too much on the sweet and candy like side of things, but otherwise pretty well done
