on tap at the brewpub - look: this is deep golden ale that shows 100% clarity. nice clean white head with decent retention. smell: bready, toasty malts, fruity yeast esters and spicy phenols. nothing from hops perceptible. feel: medium full body with rich texture, significant astringency, and more than lively carbonation. taste: sweet malts dominate. astringency hits against the palate significantly. some peppery spices and yeast fruityness. bitterness is subdued and the beer finishes sweet and with lingering astringency.
overall: not a bad beer but not sure I'd have it again.
