473 ml can served cold into a pint glass. LCBO purchase for $4.15 CDN.
Appearance - Overly carbonated, even a moderate pour yields a ton of foam. The foam looks nice and eggshell white and stays for a while. Beer is otherwise mildly hazy and yellowy-gold.
Smell - Lots of tropical notes, mango and guava lead the way with some passionfruit mixed in. Fairly intense and delicious aromatics.
Taste - Lots of grain, stone fruit like apricots and peaches mixed in with cantaloupe and guava. Unusual combo, pretty tasty. Taste isn't as good as it should be in part to to the texture. Some lactose-ish flavor. A little unusual. Weird vegetative taste at the end that reminds of grilled veggie burger for some strange reason.
Mouthfeel - Overly creamy and carbonation is really soft and appears flat. Just want something the excite the tastebuds from this angle. After opening the beer and pouring the foam out, this improved and had respectable carboantion.
Overall - Interesting milkshake APA, but weird in it's execution. Brew is overcarbonated then flat, so maybe this isn't the best rating. It did happen on both cans though which had sat for 24-96 hours. Would be willing to try other stuff from WIld Card, but wouldn't likely repeat Notoriously Juicy.
