Wood Knocker IPA is a take on our flagship Tree Knocker IPA. Wood Knocker focuses on the juiciness and flavor of hops rather than bitterness. Brewed with a combination of three different base malts, oats and a touch of wheat lend a hand in softening the mouthfeel. Wood Knocker packs aroma and flavor from top to bottom.

16oz can poured into Baerlic Belgian-style tulip
P hazy dark orange w/ a 1f white head; nice color- looks good
N med aroma of citrus and stone fruit with light sweetness; pleasant
T follows the nose over biscuity/caramely malt; citrus (grapefruit), stone fruit, and some melon in there as well; med-bold citrusy/yeasty tartness in the fin that lingers; tartness detracts from the rest of the profile, unfortunately
Mf med-full bodied w/ a med carb level
O while i enjoy some of the elements, this offering has a little more tartness than I prefer- found it a bit off-putting, to be honest; may give it another chance in the future if I see it around, though (maybe it was an old can or an off day for my palate)
