Angry Inch Brewing

Medium sized taproom in a building on the main street of Lakeville. Ten plus stool bar, and community tables for the rest of the floor space. One side of the room provides a view of the brewing equipment. Window views of downtown on the other side. Interesting wagon wheel and growler light fixtures. Twelve listed beers on tap, with standard styles. Three TVs, and a background sound system (alternative music selections). No food offered. Cool spot in an outer suburb of the Twin Cities.

First time here. Literally right next door to Lakeville Brewing. Nice bar area. Indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly staff. Decent beer based on the one I had at the brewery. 8 beers on tap, and crawlers to go. I will be back.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Definitely more brewery, taproom feel than Lakeville Brewery. Bare bones look, industrial, austere feel. Despite this it is lively with lively characters within. Seems a happy place. Service is just at the bar and they are attentive. They card everyone if they do not know you so bring ID. The beer is nothing good unfortunately. The pils and brown where nothing more than malt liquor. The Samoan Kisses was decent but nothing I would want to order again. Basically the beer brewed in this town between the two breweries is below average.

 

Angry Inch screams "START-UP BREWPUB!" as soon as you walk in the door. Games scattered on tables, no frills, just like we like it. We only had time for two beers, Samoan Kisses & Naked Hop Party, but were impressed by both, especially the Kisses, which was amazingly flavorful for a 4.5% ABV brew. Between that & some other hints (the saison as part of their standard lineup) it seems they may be going for both the locals & beer geek crowd.

The manager (or somebody, anyways) stopped by to chat. Really liked the beer & we'd be happy to stop by if we're in the neighborhood again.
