Good selection of many different beer styles. Lots of hoppy stuff. Often has barrel-aged stouts available on tap. Service is good, and staff is knowledgeable.

Went with a few other couples for early Friday afternoon beers while on vacation. Scene probably more subdued than normal as a result

V: fairly standard interior, chalkboard with draft pours on the left when you walk in plus some cans to go and merch along the wall. Lots of seating options, bunch of board games if you’re making a day of it. Was fairly quiet but think that’s due to the time of day

Q: awesome beers, with all ~15 drafts available in three sizes. Went with four 5oz pours, think they were $2.50-3 each

S: guy pouring seemed great, didn’t ask for recommendations/interact much more than just ordering. Did bring food to our table, which I didn’t try

S: real range from fruity lactose sours to ddh ipas to some nice dark beers. Overall solid lineup with something for everyone

Oh man. A place that with better service would be a top of the list type of place. Normally I don't let service play in to my rankings, but this spot was so bad, I couldn't help it. I sat at the bar that had exactly one other person two seats down. I sat, and sat. Than I sat some more. I did the little head nod, with a smile. Nothing. I did the wave. Nothing. Finally, someone came down to ask if I wanted what seemed to be plenty of good beer offerings. The beer was really good and beer I've purchased outside of the taproom was quality. Shame.

Nice place with great ambiance and chill atmosphere! Staff was friendly and the beer selection on draft and to go were abundant and all delicious. Not really a food place however, the pizza was good and obviously paired well with their tasty libations.

The Nations Taproom has a good variety of beers on draft, with a few more available in the can (and to go). (All beer should be amazingly fresh, as Southern Grist’s new production facility operates in a separate building directly behind this west Nashville location.) Apparently a few guest beers are also sometimes available.

The taproom is not large, rather modern yet not uninviting, and has a smallish patio.

It may perhaps be understaffed (for Saturday night).

Bring your own food, or try the (limited) pizza/sub/salad menu.

A couple of tvs and some board games complete the picture.

Visited the Nations Taproom location. Nice, clean. When we visited, they had 9 different cans available to go, about 20 beers on tap, and a food list that hit our needs. The bartender was friendly and helpful, even directing us to a package store so we could purchase a can they no longer had on site.

Trendy taproom in chic strip mall. Bar seats about 20, with 10 tables along the perimeter, and an outside patio area. 15 assorted beers on tap, the 2 I had were very nice. Good service. Food was excellent.

a really neat little spot here, a bit outside of downtown, sort of looks and feels like a jazzed up old gas station or mechanic shop, a garage kind of feel to it, but now cozy, games to be played, sports on television, some colorful stuff to look at, and an extensive beer list packed with fruited sours, hazy ipas, and flavored stouts, is this place on trend or what?! the beer we had in here was all over the map, the hits were major hits, including a couple of cloudy ipa types, a cinnamon chili stout, and a pineapple upside down cake inspired brew, but the misses were as bad as the hits were good, a nashville mule sour at the bottom of the heap. its cool though how interesting a lot of the beers are here, even if they arent all great, its fun to drink ambitious and unique beers, and these guys stood out to me as one of the more adventurous breweries we visited on our little road trip. i heard they have moved some production to a new facility which makes sense, their cans look sharp and probably have high demand in these styles, and the space is here is pretty small, so it makes sense to expand probably. really worth the trip to try some of their beers, especially the hoppy stuff. good service, clean taproom, and some killer beers if you can sift through the wash...

We arrived in Nashville for a conference and arrived at Southern Grist at 8pm on a Thursday night. And the place was jumping! Pretty much a full house and everyone seemed to be having a great time. The building is not much to look at, fairly rustic. Regular tables, some communal tables. Outdoor patio. A hockey game on the TV.
A dozen or so beers on tap. Cans and growlers available for take-out.
I had a couple NEIPAs, Push 88 and DDH Noise Polllution, both excellent. My wife had a wild ale, Nashville Mule, and loved it.
Beers are ordered and picked up at the bar. Fun group working there.
Great beers, lots of positive energy. Hope to visit again.

Small neighborhood taproom that has capacity for about forty people, including nine spots at the bar. The quality of the beer was good to excellent. Service was quick, friendly and helpful. There are usually twelve beers on tap, ranging from stouts to IPAs to sour ales. The brewing team experiments with various flavors, so the selection is constantly changing. The 312 Pizza Company is helping Southern Grist with their menu by providing thin-crust pizzas.

Stopped in here while spending a night in Nashville recently. The vibe is very chill. There is a good amount of space inside and outside for seating. The service was awesome here. The selection was impressive, lots of beers to choose from. I really enjoyed Southern Grist. If I were to be in the Nashville area again I would gladly stop back in again.

Comfortable, cool vibe for the new neighborhood corner brewery. Flights and variably-sized pours with a nice selection, even including a few tasty sours (St. Lucie, Nashville Mule). Service was quite solid, particularly the lovely lady who looked a bit like Liv Tyler with glasses. I made it out three days in a row over a weekend, and, though I hit a few other Nashville breweries, this one was really the only one worth pledging one's undying allegiance to.

This brewery had a phenomenal year 1. They have really changed the Nashville/Tennessee beer scene with great IPA/DIPA, imaginative fruit forward beers, and great Imperial Stouts.

They are in a great location, although it is a small spot. The good thing is free parking all around. They really have a great "it factor" and the tap room is really nice.

Highly recommend!
