See-through purple/brown appearance; champagne bubbles throughout.
A mild pour yielded a HUGE, noisy tan head (be VERY careful pouring!); frothy lace.
Root beer, acorn & metal notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel. Raisin, clove & metal flavors; there is an unnatural vibe to this that I can't blame on improper aging, as this was in my fridge for the entire year.
Just not a good quad; frankly, not a good beer period.
