16 oz can into a pint glass. Clear golden color with a huge frothy off-white head from a rough pour. Hay, spicy hops, and faint lemon citrus aroma. Light and floral hop flavor with lemon and pepper. Medium body, well carbonated.

Canned 9/5/23; drank 9/22/23 @ the Yarchives.

See-through orange appearance.

A violent pour yielded a huge eggshell head; a thick curtain of tree-rung lacing remained.

Rice, pine & faint lemon notes in the nose.

Medium mouthfeel.

Pine & faint lemon flavors up front; dry oat notes on the finish. As this warmed, a hint of skunk spray emerged.

Not my jam, really, but I certainly finished it. I won't seek it out but it'll do in a pinch.

Pours a cloudy straw color. Thick velvety two finger head recedes a bit, but leaves a solid half inch of velvety foam on top of the beer. Sticky white lacing coats the glass as its consumed.

Aroma has notes of straw, pilsner malts, lemon grass, lemon, and a slightly astringent lemon note coming through on the back end.

Taste has notes of lemon grass, bitter lemon, alfalfa, with a solid but subtle pilsner malt backbone. The hops in this are a tad astringent with a dish soap like character - when I get it in the taste its notary pleasant but when I don't get it, the beer is a nice profile to it.

Feel is light to medium bodied, pretty crisp, albeit not quite as much as I want from it. Moderate carbonation. Semi-dry finish.

Overall a solid pilsner.

On tap at the brewery. Perfectly fine pils, doesn’t pop in any areas. The smell and taste have light flowery hops, and the finish is a touch peppy. But it doesn’t punch hard in any one area. This seem to fit my perception of Hopewell that they do solid beers that are approachable but don’t push the envelope.
