Canned 11/15/23; drank 12/4/23 @ the Yarchives.
See-through dull orange/yellow appearance.
A rough pour yielded a HUGE white head; a thick curtain of frothy lacing remained.
Fruit punch, pine & faint strawberry notes in the nose.
Fruit forward lager, without any fruit! Pretty impressive.
Medium mouthfeel.
Fruit punch & faint strawberry flavors up front; mild pine notes on the finish.
As an India Pale Lager, this succeeds; it's hop-forward in a fruity way that isn't overbearing, but has a pine-y dryness that's enjoyable. I'd have another!

Thanks to Joplamp for this one from the recent Can-Cans BIF. 16oz can (no date) poured into 14oz teku. Poured a very hazy/cloudy yellow color with about 2/3 inch of white head that decent retention and low lacing.
Fruity hops were at the front of the nose, with just a very light malt base. No yeast aspect.
Very similar on the tongue, all modern hops, and no appreciable grain or yeast components.
The body was fuller than a typical lager, smooth, carried good carb throughout, and had a semi-dry finish.
Drinkability was fine, although the hops got tiresome about half-way through the can.
Overall, a fine brew, but maybe Strata ain't my hop? Worth a try to decide for yourself.

This one is a collaboration between Hopewell Brewing and Hop Butcher. It is actually listed as an IPL (India Pale Lager) and is made with a base of Pilsner malts with the Strata hop. The Strata hop gave this one some dankness. It was a nice balance of dankness and berries, strawberries in particular, up front with a clean crisp dryer finish you would expect from a pilsner at the back end. It seemed a little thin for the ABV but it was refreshing and would be a nice beer on a hot day.
