Seemingly West Coast inspired, the beer poured out a clear dark bronze tone, and I was immediately worried. The "DDH" on the label had me expecting haze, and you don't want a tone that might suggest oxidation. Just say no to brown IPA's. This was in perfect shape, canned 9/4/20. Ample creamy foam.
Very pungent and resiny hop aroma, bitter grapefruit peel, intense with a biting quality. Taste is similarly resiny and intensely bitter, reminiscent of classic DIPA's of yesteryear. A candied ripe citrus top note, with a building sharp bitter resiny bite lingers into the dry, bitter finish. Medium to full bodied and it packs a punch. Overall it was good and I had 2 in a row.
