16oz can, dated 04.09.2021, poured into a stemless wine glass.
The beer pours a very hazy and turbid orange color, bright with golden and amber hues and a fluffy white head, moderate retention and nice lacing. The aroma is excellent, bursting with tropical mango, peach, orange, pineapple with some underlying berry fruits that are contrasted nicely by bitter pine, earthy, grassy, green and resinous. The flavors are good, lots of juicy tropical fruits, strong peach and mango, nice citrus tanginess, both orange and grapefruit that helps bring out the bitter and more earthy flavors, lots of pine, dank grassiness, green, raw, oily and resinous with a soft pale dough base. The mouthfeel is good, coating, lively medium body that has a nice heft and feels smooth with a dry bite at the finish.
Verdict: A nice NEIPA from Hopewell. Juicy, bright, tangy, earthy, a nice spectrum of flavors and profiles. The nose is particularly enjoyable.
