16 oz can into a pint glass. Clear dark ruby-tinged amber color with a dense off-white head. Good-looking beer! Piney hop resin aroma with some faint orange citrus. Boozy warmth, piney hops, and soap flavors. Medium body that sticks.

Well it looks gorgeous.
16oz can dated 111622 and poured into a tulip shows a clear brick red body that just glows a beautiful ruby red when backlit. Active off-white bubbles maintain the edge after falling from a 1/2" head leaving webbed lacing.
That is where my appreciation ends, but I can't help but think they have something here.
Malty and pine resin aromas waft freely from the glass and they can be separately identified, however the combination used gym sock aroma is not the ticket.
Pine needle flavor dominates to the extreme with an astringency that detracts from and distracts my appreciation. 7.5% abv is top of mind here as well, not so much as fusal alcohol, but heat, rather than warmth.
Mouthfeel is full, sticky, and a long aftertaste remains.
Overall a tough to finish tallboy.

Canned 11/16/22; drank 12/18/22 @ the Yarchives.
Opaque brown/orange rust appearance.
A rough pour yielded a small khaki head; a thick curtain of lace.
Pine, orange peel, soap & mild booze heat notes in the nose.
Sticky medium mouthfeel.
Pine, orange peel, mild soap & some booze heat on the palate.
I assume the "Long Shadows" are the ones cast by Sierra Nevada's Celebration Ale, which this is basically a clone of. It's not bad, but it's boozier and less nuanced than it's inspiration.
