from the tap. just a slight shade off of pure black. Creamy off-white to tan head about 2/3 finger high. Excellent lacing. Smells like roasted malts and coffee. The taste is an excellently balanced combination of roasted grains, coffee, and a hint of bittersweet chocolate. Some nice bitterness in the background. Overall a really nice Imperial stout.

16oz can but the label says it is 12oz. No date on can. I hope the beer is better than the label and date efforts. Looks good with nice color and a firm head that hangs on for quite awhile. Rather timid aroma. I pick up faint hints of coffee and dark, bitter malt. Flavor is dark and bitter. Strong stout roots with coffee playing accompaniment parts. Slight acidity which I do not particularly also plays a part. A bit of alcohol heat in the finish. Good body and appropriate carbonation.

Pours a black with a nice fluffy 2 finger tan head that leaves some nice sheet lace down my glass.
Aroma is Imperial Stout with coffee, check. Loads of roasted coffee beans right off the bat and huge domination this brew. Underneath some lighter chocolate notes, caramel hints. Not overly complex but its defiantly as advertised.
Taste is bam coffee riding to the front , some bitterness from the roasted malts and lightly dry almost chalky but not quite. Some bakers chocolate which might add a touch to the bitterness, toffee hints no real caramel that was in the nose. Finish has some char and bittering hops, light warming from the alcohol. Defiantly big on coffee but a little one dimensional.
Mouthfeel is dry almost like a dry stout but the body isn't quite as big as a one, medium carbonation.
Overall not a bad coffee stout, just not very complex but drinkable.

Unknown vintage (presumably 2021); drank 5/26/21 @ the Yarchives.
Black appearance.
A rough pour yielded a big tan head; a thick curtain of lace.
Cream, light roast coffee bean, mild chocolate & faint fresh earth notes in the nose.
Creamy medium mouthfeel.
Cream, fresh earth & light roast coffee bean flavors; mild booze heat on the finish.
Thin, really cream-forward and sorta forgettable. Not one I'll seek out again.

Had on tap. Pitch black with a tight tan cap and tons of lacing, a beauty. Smell and taste are clones: dark chocolate, espresso, roasted malt, slight char and a kiss of raisin. The body is thin and dry, with good roast, but want more fullness for an imperial. Good stout

A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a half finger high tan colored head.
S: Light aromas of dark and roasted malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste has flavors of dark, roasted malts and has a light to moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels a bit more than medium-bodied and a little dry on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This stout is nice and roasty and dry. It does a very good job at hiding its alcohol.

12 oz. can poured into a teku glass.
Near black with a thin light brown head.
Nose: Very coffee-forward with some dark chocolate. Reminiscent of FBS.
Taste: Coffee up front. Finish is surprisingly hoppy, which builds with the coffee into a marked bitterness.
Feel: Medium body, medium carbonation

A: Black with tan head and loads of lacing.
N: Coffee, malt, and oats.
T: A nice chewy bitter coffee hit with some sweet malt notes and some oat flavors.
M: Medium/full, very solid coffee/bitterness.
O: Loved it, I am a coffee fan and this is solid, for some it may be too strong but for seasoned coffee guys its perfect.
