Pours with a deep-yellow to light-amber body. This looks like a classic unfiltered West Coast beer. A non-aggressive pour generates 1/2 fingers of head in the standard tulip. Unfortunately, the cap does not stick around for too long and leaves little lacing. The aroma is very old-school, reminiscent of pine and grapefruit. Taste is a bit softer than I expected, but definitely still bitter and old school. This beer has a lovely citrus flavor on the back end. Feel is pretty standard for an IPA. Medium to high carbonation, medium body, and the alcohol is well hidden. Andrews Forest is a fine West Coast IPA. It doesn’t stand out in any categories, but drinks lightly and pleasantly.

Nearly clear amber with plenty of foam in the New Belgium snifter. MIld aroma with a whiff of honeysuckle. Some malty sweetness. A bit piney. HInts of mango and celery.
This is light and friendly with a modest bite and some astringency. Lots of hop flavor and enough bitterness in the aftertaste. Very drinkable, I seem to have gone through the six-pack. From the 12 oz can purchased at Barons Market on West Point Loma.
