Pours deep, dark chocolate brown with zero head or carbonation. Aroma is complex -- bourbon, blueberry (yes!), and coffee. Taste is very smooth, but still absolutely no carbonation, with chocolate, coffee and blueberry foremost with bourbon at the last little bit. Quite interesting. Like trying to figure out the flavor profile is much like trying to figure out the scene of a crime. Glad I sampled, though I would like to try again to see about the carbonation.

Undated can into pint glass. Pours an almost absolute black (SRM = 40) with no head whatsoever. Slight reddish-purple cast at juncture with the glass, but this beer is DARK! Initial impression is sticky-sweet molasses, dark fruits, berry, and vanilla. Alcohol is fairly well hidden (or maybe overwhelmed by the molasses). Mouthfeel is quite thick and sticky. Finish is sweet and cloying. Overall, way too sweet for my tastes.
