I mean I taste a smidge more alcohol here maybe than LFG, Is that the Nordic part? I might be ignorant but based on the mash build I don't get it, lot of New Zealand hops. Regardless of all that it def tastes good, nothing of Kveik yeast is mentioned on the can which as far as I know is the only thing that could make this Nordic

I’m not sure what’s “Nordic” means but once again “West Coast IPA” snags a few of my hard-earned dollars. 16 oz. can.
A lovely golden sunset gives of gentle waves citrus, pine. Very gentle. Faint, even.
Huggin is unusual but harks straight back to a proud line of WC IPAs. Intense pine up front with a backing of citrus & a touch of lime with a bracing slap of bitterness in the finish. The body is thicker than your standard WC IPA: I feel oats or something as a thickening agent. This beer is best drunk in gulps.
This hits feels that I’ve been missing greatly on a regular basis in the last few years. This was a single can purchase: I need more. Excellent IPA.

16oz can poured into a snifter
A- pours a bright clear golden orange color with a one-finger foamy white head that has good retention
S- citrus and resinous piney hops on the nose with a toasted malt undertone
T- zesty citrus notes of tangerine and grapefruit up front, followed by some piney hops. Mid palate gives some toasted malt undertones. The finish is balanced
M- medium body with medium carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that continues into the finish
O- classic west coast style ipa

No canned on date. Poured into a Samuel Adams Perfect Pint.
A: Light amber hue with mild haze and 1-2 finger off-white frothy head with average retention but sticky rings of lacing.
S: Hops dominate with lemon-lime citrus followed by more dank, herbal character. Esters are present but low with mild fruity essence. Overall, aroma is kind offer for the DIPA style.
T: Flavor intensity is higher than aroma with firm pithy bitterness, followed by more lime, white grapefruit, and a more general herbal honeysuckle type of note in the finish. Bitterness is high but not off-putting. Yeast esters are low and mostly citrus fruit and floral notes.
M: Feel is light-medium bodied with medium dry finish enhanced by the clean bitterness. Carbonation is moderate.
O: I enjoyed this "Nordic double West Coast IPA" for its firm bitterness, lime citrus hopping with more herbal backing notes and easy drinkability.
