Another review from the dipa fest in 2022 (22nd annual, easy to keep track of), and as I write this 14 months later, it is nonetheless the first review ever written here. Plenty of check ins at the corporate ownership site. California abandoned BA, exhibit #953.
Anyhoo, Dalton Castle, phenomenal wrestler, his finishing maneuver, also called Bangarang. Stranger Cole I think had a song or album by the same name. Anyhoo, the beer: Pours a light amber color, 1/2" white head, good clarity. Aroma was like, absent? While the brewery touts Citra and Galaxy, it just didn't work. Must have been that peanut Galaxy crop. Smelled like, well, the inside of a peanut shell: mostly nothing hop wise, light caramel malty (?) woodiness.
The taste brings the Citra hop back around to give it a familiar orange and grapefruit presence. The body drinks lighter than the SRM and does a really good job at hiding almost double digit alcohol. Not viscous. This might be a much better beer with a decent Galaxy crop, who knows, would revisit for sure.
We'd have a riot doing heroin.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
