Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. Brewed with Vic Secret and Mosaic.
Appearance: medium yellow hue with a moderate haze and two fingers of frothy white foam atop.
Smell: sweet malt base with a mix of grassy, earthy, and slightly fruity hops. Not too bad.
Taste: quite earthy in hop character, again atop that sweet malt base. There's also a little bit of a grassy quality and a dash of dankness, but mostly it's very earthy indeed. Bitterness is on the high side for a NEIPA. Not too bad, but maybe not what I normally expect out of the style.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent level of carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: there's no date on the can, so I don't know if age is playing a role in the flavors here. Again, it's not bad exactly -- just not really what I'm looking for in the style.
