Pours a nice red color. 1 finger slightly off white head. Retention is ok. No lacing on the glass.
The nose has malt notes to it. I almost get a smoke aroma as well. Some caramel.
Taste - There's a lot of malt to this beer, as for the style. now, I didn't get the smoke in the flavor. I did get some flavors, that I do like, but I'm not sure how best to describe them.
There's a nice amount of carbonation here, that tickles my palate. The body is decent.
I'm not the biggest red ale fan, but this is a winner in my book.
