330ml bottle from OK Tobacco & More, Tirana (100 lek):
Quite a light amber with a translucent body & a surprisingly large, foamy white head with some good lacing on the sides & good retention. The nose is relatively light, some corn sweetness, light grain & adjuncts but nothing sticks out. There's some hay & pale, earthy malt flavours with some grain & grassy hops but it's a run of the mill pale lager that's well carbonated but bordering on gassy with some sweetness. It's inoffensive that that's about the best you can say about it really.

BOTTLE: Green glass. Twist-off cap. 33cl. Best by: 12/09/16.
HEAD: None.
BODY: Clear weak copper.
Appears undercarbonated. Not a great appearance for a pilsner.
AROMA: Water and malted barley. Cheap and light, with a weak overall impression.
TASTE: Matches the aroma, with some buttery diacetyl thrown in to drag it down still further...though it isn't watery to be fair.
TEXTURE: Buttery, smooth, wet, light to medium bodied, Unrefreshing. Not the clean crisp pilsner texture one would hope for.
OVERALL: An abysmal attempt at a Pilsner, lacking any Saaz or Noble hop character as well as a pleasant malt backbone. They couldn't even avoid diacetyl off-flavour. Not a brew I'd recommend or get again, though I guess at 60 (euro) cents a bottle, you get what you pay for. Even Peja is far better.
D- (1.85) / AVOID
