Spent the evening at Second Line Brewing in New Orleans and had a great time. Wonderful neighborhood vibe. Worth leaving downtown. They had 12 beers on tap; my favorite was their Sweet Reverence followed by the Blood Orange Saison.

Fun place in Midcity. Beer selection is smaller but everything is solid with rotating taps around their core lineup. Food trucks rotate with Crawfish Boils when in season. Movie nights and other fun events on weeknights. Seating is mostly outdoor. Very relaxed vibe with friendly bartenders/staff

Even tough it was a cold, rainy afternoon, the beer was flowing at Second Line. It was about a block past out GPS coordinates, but we found it without too much trouble. On sunnier days, Second Line hosts great outdoor events, even movie nights. Lots of picnic tables for lounging. One of the owners gave us a tour with a glance at the bourbon barrels that aged the Cease to Love stout. Fans have rated Second Line one of NOLA's most fun beer venues. At just over a year old, they're really cranking out some quality stuff.

While on vacation I had to stop in and check out this place because of all the praise they were getting as an up and coming brewery. I was staying on Bourbon Street so it was about a 15 minute Uber ride out to the brewery.
Upon first glance it was a little courtyard cutout patio in a smaller industrial park setting with about a dozen or so outdoor tables, and a garage door open to the brewery and the cart I guess you would call it where they pour your beers.
I got there shortly after opening, there was one other group of 3 people there. The workers were welcoming enough, quite friendly and ready willing to help. However they did not seem like they had any idea how to operate a tap handle, make a decent pour , or have any information about the beers that wasn't already clearly markered on the easel with the 4 beer selection visible from the beer cart.
Beers were coming out mostly foam and we were told we can only have plastic cups because they didn't have any glass ready for pouring at opening. Aside from the awful pours and glassware the beer was pretty damn solid. No frills no gimmicks solid bitter hoppy pale ales and IPAs.
There was not any food served at the brewery itself but a food truck did arrive a few hours after opening, and another large party had showed up later and brought there own sort of catered party with them so maybe bring your own food is indeed an option but I had not inquired to be sure.
The vibe was chilled out , outdoor seating with friendly laid back beer tenders, nice place to hang out with family or friends on a day with nice weather, saw a few people with kids and dogs and such , they seemed pretty open to whatever.
Selection was four beer pours from a beer cart with kegs.
Eventually they did clean pint glasses for customer use and even let us take one home with purchase of the pint for their promotion that particular day.
The bulldog is only a short cemetary filled walk away from here as well if you are looking for other craft beer related endeavors in the area.

Cool vibe with very friendly staff. More beer son tap than I expected too. Everything I had was top notch. I cannot wait to go back and finish trying their beers.
