As a tribute to the 5000 year old tradition of brewing in Scotland, we brewed this classic 80 Schilling Scottish Ale. This Ale features a malt forward, lightly roasted, and caramelized flavor incorporating faint hints of smokiness. So lift up a pint, not your kilt, and enjoy this sessionable Scottish Ale.

Bomber from Harmon's City Creek. Dark amber pour, silky beige head. Sweet, malty aroma. Taste is malty, sweet, brown sugar, then peters out to a dry finish.

12oz can. No dating information found. Label has ABV% at 5%.
Ruby brown colored body. One finger of beige colored head. Leaves behind some strings of lacing.
Aroma of sweet caramel malt and dark bread. Slight bit of smoke.
Taste is roasted caramel malts, and a hint of dark fruit. Has a mineral quality. Earthy hops. Slight bit of smoke. Quick end to the aftertaste.
Medium mouth feel. Crisp and drying finish. Good carbonation.
Each sip cleans out the mouth. Caramel and malty, no peat.

Purchased from the Grocer for $4

Poured at fridge temp into a tulip glass while warming.

Pours a fair caramel brown with some nice red tint when held up to the light. Generous 2F sand colored head that settled into a hair of a ring. Eagerly returns with gentle agitation. 4

Lightly smoky wood, toasty malt and lightly burned caramel. It's pretty great imo. 4.25

Caramel, toasty bread, glazed brown sugar, earthy and woody hops. Fuggle if I had to guess. Nearly spot on for the style. 4

Light prickling carbo, and fairly thin body, truly it's only downturn overall as it's nice otherwise, but hey gotta make what you can with dumb liquor laws. Froth on it is nice however. 3.75

Overall if this weren't limited by ABV I think it could contend with some of the greats. That being said it is unique in its composition as a 'session Scottish/wee heavy(light) ale.' I'll keep buying it as long as it doesn't skyrocket in price like it's siblings because it hits that Scotch ale spot nicely. 4

Sent to me by @NorsemanOne during NBW BIF 17.
Poured deep reddish brown - and add just a touch more red in there. The light beige head dissipated rather quickly but still left lacing.
The aroma was lost on my Covid affected nose.
The taste is more than just heavy malts - there seems to be a hops presence to liven up the back end, the malts come across as toasty and caramel and they all play very nicely together.
The feel is a touch sharper than I would have thought for the style, but it matches the flavors.
OA, for a 5% ABV beer, this packs quite a lot of flavor and is very enjoyable.

Bought 2 bottles from a grocery store in Logan UT. The label says the ABV is 5% so they must have increased this recently.

It has a nice dark red color. The head retention is pretty good.

My sense of smell is poor but there were no off smells so that is fine by me.

The first thing I tasted was malt - lots of it. I did not detect much sweetness. There is just enough there to balance things with a slightly floral hops coming through late.

As other have said, this beer seems quite light but still has plenty of flavor. Definitely a session beer.

Appearence is dark dark red, medium retention
Aroma is coconut and chocolate, but light could only really smell it on the head
This tastes like a light stout with a bit of spice, the chocolate and coconut carry over into the taste, dry on the finish

overall awesome, kinna like a thin (in a good way) cake stout

Pours a deep red/brown color with a small head that dissipates quite quickly. Flavor is heavily malted, with full, earthy flavors, toasted and caramely with a hint of brown sugar sweetness. Despite this, it's not overly sweet, it finds a good balance with the maltiness. There's a pretty good amount of flavor in this one, and the body is heavier than expected. A very solid 4% brew!

a very flavorful malty red colored ale, and one of the better 4% abv utah drafts i had that was not a hop first beer. not overly complex, but there are some nice grain layers here, toasted and warming, earthy and nutty, and caramelized and sweet, with brown sugar, subtle peat, and whole grain bread. its well rounded and fuller bodied too, which makes it more texturally satisfying than a lot of the drafts we had on our trip, smooth and bubbly, not too sweet. not the most aggressively flavored scottish ale out there, but quite well made, and seems to me more true to style than any other beer i had from these guys. this is also the one i saw around the most, must be their flagship of sorts. just a bit more interesting than the conventional red or amber ale that really has pretty wide appeal. i wish you could drink beers at their brewery, but i was disappointed to go there and find it was just a little shop for bottles and growler fills. still, they are making some solid beer, and this is one of their better beers that i had while i was out there.
