Bourbon Barrel Oatmeal Stout

Pours a deep brown to black with minimal tan foam that disappears as quickly as it arrives. The nose is of bourbon so if you like bourbon you'll like the nose. Taste is where the beer losses me. It is all bourbon. I am not picking up and barrel character. Zero wood and on top of it it is covering up the base oatmeal stout also picking up a bit of sourness although minimal. Giving credit here, as it has warmed a little bit of roasted malt has shown through the bourbon. It is smooth tho for the amount of bourbon I am picking up. A little thin and watery on the mouthfeel. Just didn't have the feel of a BBS, more like a stout with copious amounts of bourbon poured in.
