12oz can. No dating information found. Label has ABV% at 5%.
Slightly cloudy, straw colored body. Two fingers of white head collapse to a fluffy ring. Leaves behind thick strings of lacing.
Aroma is vegetal hops, woody and with resin.
Taste is candy sweet, with flavors of orange, grapefruit, lemon, pine resin, and a little mint. Aftertaste maintains a strong taste profile.
Thicker mouth feel, with cream and softness. Minor bitterness but evident. Very good carbonation.
Unexpectedly commendable IPA.

a tasty unfiltered ipa here, best of both worlds type of beer, with a massive dry hop and bright citrusy aroma on it, but then also some decent bitterness on the swallow, i like the flow of this one. bright sunny orange tone to it from the bottle, a high white head, uniform haziness, and just a touch of sediment at the very bottom. the nose on this is fresh pink grapefruit juice and pith, bold and resinous too, not green for its intensity, and quite fresh to me. a faint yeast note like a lot of their beers have, but it fits in just fine here, some light honey, hash oil, and apparent bitterness, simple on the grain side and rightly so. the flavor follows, tangerine and grapefruit up front, dry from the malt but not all that light in body for something that is basically a session beer, some pine and even a gin note in the center of this, a tiny bit out of balance maybe, but i like this, and cant believe the alcohol is so low, although i think its come up since the laws permitted slightly higher draft beer in the state. orange and weed resin to finish, this seems modern and robust, a definite crowd pleaser type of ipa, and i think it shows some quality improvement from the last time i got down on talisman beers!

Definitely a staple in their line up. Talisman is by far the best brewery in Ogden, UT and this sessional IPA nails it!

batch 100, suprisingly gold hazy, loss of points for some yeast buildup in the bottleneck, low-medium retention
on the smell hop element is citrusy, maybe even peachy, the malt is nearly drowned out by the hops and yeast but thats not a bad thing in my opinion
taste is the same as the nose, citrusy leaning into peach, almost like an NEIPA except not leaning into orange juice flavor.
overall really good
