King Slayer is our take on a classic Czech-style lager. Properly lagered for 6 weeks, King Slayer is crisp, refreshing and finishes with clean bitterness.

from a quality standpoint this was the best beer i had on my recent visit in here, a really well done lager, maybe a touch safe in that the yeast isnt overly robust and the hops are pretty mild for a czech type, but its solid beer through and through, easy drinking, and executed well. blonde and nicely clear from the tap, about an inch of white head resting on top, fed constantly by a stream of rising bubbles, looks right on. the nose is malt forward more than hops or yeast for me, european and slightly dusty, maybe a tad of toasted richness too beyond the norm, but still light, especially with what seems to be a pretty minimal yeast contribution. the flavor is well balanced with the grain again leading the way through most of the drink, but some lightly citrusy hops do arise on the finish, light bitterness on the swallow gives it some crispness and sort of makes it drink dry, but nobody would call this especially hoppy. the yeast does seem traditional but the flavor is really mellow from it, not crackery and directly crisping like it often is in these, and the water chemistry doesnt quite lend to a fast finish, so maybe not perfect attention to detail here, but the body is easy drinking, the flavor is fresh, and overall this is a quality lager.
