a nicely made gose with real raspberries and a pretty good dose of salt, i feel like the quality here has ticked up a bit since the ownership change, these beers have been really solid. this has just a faint pink color to it but doesnt look super fruited, which can sometimes be indicative of real berries versus fruit products, short head on it but not wanting for carbonation. it smells somewhat subtle, the lightest spice hint like toasted coriander, light lemony tang setting up obvious berry tartness too, and here real fruit seems apparent, light cherry and cranberry pop as well but raspberry is obvious, minerality maybe from the salt, but some malt to this too, maybe a tad richer than most without being heavy in any way, and still fruit forward but in tasteful balance. flavor is the same, except salt pops in at out at the perfect moments highlighting the fruit, right in the center but then again on the swallow, nothing jammy or concentrated about the berry at all, its right off the cane real to me, nailed that part, and it doesnt come so strong that its at the expense of the base beer, still grain based, which im into. not too sour to be a pint beer either, clean lactic twang but not a stomach turner. very well done kettle souring here, great proportions, summery and refreshing and another quality step forward for these guys in a style that can be tricky...
